We're Keen to Hear Your Thoughts!

We are exploring different ways in which we can provide more ongoing support to our Alumni projects. We understand it can be a lonely place to start off a project completely on your own, investing long hours. Even as you progress, whether you're midway through your journey or have reached a stable level of success, new and more complex challenges will inevitably arise.

Each project is different, and there may be overlapping similarities or opportunities to exchange knowledge and information. That’s where the Alumni network comes in to further support you on your journey. Before we finalise our plans, we wanted confirmation of your interest before we take steps to implement each of the ideas below. Please take 5-10 minutes to answer the following questions.

  • A) Online Community, for Quick Support

Based on your initial feedback and our further research, we we’ve decided to use Slack as the platform to facilitate seamless communication within the alumni forum. Slack has the ability to facilitate organised conversations, offering structured and dedicated channel discussion threads for different topics. You can quickly seek guidance and advice on any challenges you’re facing, leveraging the collective experience of past Award winners and finalists.
  • If you answered 'Yes' to Q1 above, please share your details below and we'll include you when we launch! Alternatively, email [email protected] to request your interest in joining the Slack forum.
  • B) In-Person Alumni Event

We're planning an interactive half or full day event, designed to bring together both early-stage founders and established charities and social enterprises, including a chance to network with partners from the Awards' network. The programme will include practical sessions, workshops and networking, to ensure both new and experienced alumni gain actionable insights, inspiration, and connections. We are inclined to run a half-day event, but are open to a full-day format, if it would benefit alumni attendees traveling from afar.
  • Where would you like the venue? To ensure accessibility for alumni residing in various locations, we're exploring three different venue options. Based on interest and preference, we may rotate locations to accommodate everyone.
  • C) Alumni Newsletter

We are in the process of launching an alumni newsletter twice a year, packed with updates and exciting news about our alumni, finalists and winners. It’s still in the early stages, and we’ll be sharing the first edition with you very soon. We will also be sharing your news with our Awards’ partners and supporters, in due course.
